The Cloud Networks launches Wi-Fi network in the city of London
The City of London gets its own Wi-Fi network. The people behind this new network claim that it is the largest of its kind in the entire Europe and it also is the first to give users mobile coverage similar which is similar to mobile networks.
The network has been established by The Cloud Network and they are using mesh technology to provide continuous connectivity in the city.
This service would be made available to the 350,000 users located in the city in addition to the thousands of travelers and tourists who land here.
A company representative claimed that the network is quite powerful and the user can travel throughout the city from one end to another without losing the connectivity in between.
This wireless network would also support the public services such as traffic management and security systems and interested users would be able to get access to it for £12 per month on a yearly contract.
Nokia is collaborating with the company and is providing the first month of usage for free. The aim is to help promote their Wi-Fi enabled devices which can use this network to let the user access the web from their mobile devices.
