Airbus cutting 10,000 European jobs
European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has revealed their plans to cut jobs as per their announced Power8 restructuring plan.
The company aims to cut around 10,000 jobs in Europe. Out of these around 4,100 job cuts would take place in France alone.
Airbus plans also calls for six full or partial factory sales by 2010. These job cuts would be distributed between their own and supplier’s employees.
Airbus reported that 2,305 jobs would be removed from their Airbus France production sites at Toulouse. Another 964 jobs would be cut from their headquarters based in the same city.
UK would see around 1,095 job cuts while Spain would have around 334 jobs.
