Hyundai enters the user car market

After seeing the success Maruti Suzuki has had with its Maruti True value program, now Hyundai has announced their plans to enter the used car market. Hyundai India would be starting a totally new subsidiary for this business venture.

Hyundai would make an entry into this lucrative market by the end of the year and would also provide customers an option to upgrade their models. Adit Garg, HMIL’s senior officer (Sales) said in a statement on their upcoming plans: “Hyundai is planning its own trade-in, which will offer second hand Hyundai cars and also offer an upgrade facility to the customers.”

Garg was addressing the media at an ongoing road show in Goa where the company was showcasing some new models like ultra-luxury sedan `Azera’ and the sports car `Coupe’ to the media and public.

Garg added: Hyundai is targeting 23 per cent of the used-car market and will adopt customer-friendly strategy. The company also has plans to target the budget segment of the market by launching a special non-AC Santro car.
