Tata Motors planning to manufacture armored vehicles
Tata Motors is currently making news for their under development Rs. 1 lakh car which is expected to make an entry into the Indian market by next year.
The company is now rumored to be considering entering the armored vehicles market. These vehicles could be manufactured for both the Indian military and the international market.
As per incoming reports, Tata has already started a programme for the production of these vehicles. The company seems to be keeping all the details under wraps.
Market analysts believe that this is a right move for the company as they are likely to get good orders from the Indian government as well as international consumers.
Sources are claiming that Tata could get into a collaboration with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for this project as they would need their products to be certified by DRDO before firm orders are executed.
