Ananda Krishnan wants to acquire Maxis Communications
Ananda Krishnan is one of the richest business man in Malaysia and he has announced his desire to take private Maxis Communications.
Maxis Communications is the largest mobile service provider in the country and Krishnan was one of the founders of the company.
His announcement to propose this buyout offer has surprised the market and this deal if it takes place could be worth as much as USD 5 billion.
Maxis has already revealed their plans to expand their presence outside the Malaysian market and Indonesia and India are the two markets at the top of their wish list.
Krishnan already has a controlling stake in two other business in the country pay-TV operator Astro and gaming group Tanjong.
