Canon India launches new digital cameras and video camcorders

Japanese consumer electronics giant Canon has launched some new products in the Indian market. This includes eight digital cameras and four digital video camcorders.

The company has also launched one compact photo printer, three inkjet printers and laser printers each in addition to one `all-in-one’ and four projectors.

Canon India said that their new digital cameras with advanced image processors are priced between Rs. 7,995 and Rs. 25,995.

The newly launched camcorders are priced between Rs. 26,990 and Rs. 59,995. Canon’s new compact photo printer has been priced at Rs. 14,895.

Their other newly launched printers come with a price tag between Rs. 2,995 and Rs. 9,995. Canon India President and CEO Kensaku Konishi spoke to the press at the launch ceremony: “Canon has just completed ten years of operations in India and we are now aiming to double our customer base to 20-lakhs in the next couple of years, by strengthening our after sales service and opening of company-owned showrooms in Delhi and Mumbai.”
