MDLR Group to set up hotels with investment of Rs 1,000 crore

Gurgaon based MDLR Group has announced that they would be establishing four luxury hotels with a proposed investment of Rs 1,000 crore in the next three years.

These funds exclude the money they would spend on acquiring the land for the hotels.

The company has already entered the aviation market with the launch of their MDLR Airlines. They launched their first flight on Delhi-Chandigarh sector last month.

They are now going to launch new flights on Ranchi and Kolkata sector. They claim to be India’s first vegetarian (only) food serving airline company.

Gopal Goyal, chairman, MDLR group was quoted as saying on their plans: “The land for two hotel sites in Gurgaon and Manesar was acquired last year from Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC)”.

Goyal added on their aviation plans: “By the end of next year we will be acquiring 10-12 more aircraft. We are also in talks with ATR and Bombardier to acquire 10 aircraft and 10 more will be kept as an option.”
