Virgin America can start operations in the US
Richard Branson owned low cost airline company Virgin America Inc. has been given the approval to begin U.S. Flights.
The company announced that they are keeping their Chief Executive Officer Fred Reid for six months.
They would now need to get their safety permits and make agreed-upon changes to start their operations in the country which is the largest aviation market in the world.
This new announcement would let Branson complete his dream to enter the world’s largest airline market with his Virgin brand.
Market analyst Robert Mann spoke about this deal: “They were relentless. They persisted until the end and they got most of what they wanted.”
Virgin added that they are planning to have their operations started by Mid Summer this year.
Reid had this to say about the approval: “We’re thrilled. We’ve had people working on this up to four years. We want to get on the playing field and show the American public what we can do.”
