British luxury brand Dunhill coming to India
India based textile company S Kumars Nationwide Ltd has announced that they have signed on a marketing agreement with British luxury brand for men Dunhill.
They would be bringing the brand in the Indian market and would be launching four stores in the next two years to retail the brand.
SKNL Vice Chairman and Managing Director Nitin Kasliwal said in a statement on their plans with Dunhill brand in the Indian market: “We would be opening four Dunhill stores at an investment of about Rs 16 crore in the next two years. We hope to have about 8-10 stores in the next five years in major cities like Bombay and Bangalore.”
these stores would be located in some of the most prime locations in five star hotels as well as luxury malls across the country.
SKNL further announced that they have already signed up film director Karan Johar to be Dunhill’s face in the country.
Dunhill Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific Mark Newman added about their plans for the Indian market: “Once all our planned stores are in place, we expect India to contribute about 10-20 per cent to Dunhill’s global revenues.”
