Cisco Systems acquiring BroadWare Technologies
Networking industry giant Cisco Systems has announced that they are acquiring software maker BroadWare Technologies.
Cisco said that they decided to acquire the company to boost their video surveillance product offerings.
BroadWare develop software products which allows the users to collect, record, route, view, and manage live and stored surveillance video quickly and efficiently over computer networks.
This video is then made accessible to authorized users on the network.
Market analysts said that this deal shows how serious Cisco is on the video surveillance and security market.
Cisco added in their statement that they expect the deal to close by July 27, 2007. they did not however reveal the financial aspects of this acquisition.
