Hyundai and its one-millionth car
South Korean automotive giant Hyundai has had a successful foray in the Indian automobile market. The company has just touched a new height with the rolling out of their one-millionth car in the Indian market.
The company also has plans to enhance its production capacity to six lakh units in the coming years to meet up the growing demand for their vehicles. They currently have a production capacity of 2,80,000 units.
Hyundai has also rolled out their one-millionth car from its facility at Sriperumbudur, 60 km from Chennai, in a record 90 months. Their upcoming second facility will be on a 50:50 ratio for the domestic and export market. Hyundai is aiming to make India their base for the compact cars to export to various markets around the world.
Hyundai is also now preparing to launch the highly successful model and the newly designed Accent. Also under plans is a diesel model of the hugely popular Hyundai Sonata car.
