CBS Corp. acquiring financial humor website Wallstrip
CBS Corp. has announced that its digital division is acquiring the financial humor website Wallstrip.
Wallstrip produces a daily show and blogs about financial news. The two companies have not disclosed the financial aspects of their deal.
The Wallstrip show was launched around six months ago and has become quite popular amongst financial professionals and business students.
CBS Interactive President Quincy Smith spoke about this deal: “CBS recognizes that original Web content, whether it’s news, sports or entertainment, is starting to show real traction with audiences, producers and advertisers.”
