Chrysler Group wants to expand its presence in Russia
Michael Manley, executive vice president of international sales and marketing for Chrysler was quoted as saying to the media that the company aims to boost their presence in the Russian market.
He said: “If you look at our worldwide presence, then Russia is a key market for us.”
Market sources further said that Chrysler is already talking about possible partnerships with Russian companies.
Manley added in his statement that the company is expecting to boost their international sales to 400,000 vehicles by 2012.
Chrysler has been noticing impressive sales growth in the Russian market and they aim to capitalize on it to expand their market share.
The company was recently put up for sale by the parent company DaimlerChrysler.
