eBay Thai coming up next!

eBay sometime back announced that they were somewhat withdrawing from the Chinese market. However, they are not leaving the Asian market alone as they are now going to target the Thailand online auction market with their upcoming Thai portal.

eBay said in a statement that they are going to work with Sanook Online Ltd. to create a Thai-language e-commerce site.

This new portal could be launched within this year itself though the company did not give details on what kind of services they would be provided on this new website.

eBay did mention that this upcoming portal will operate on a revenue-sharing basis. The revenue split ratio was not revealed.

eBay had last year turned over its Taiwan operations to PC Home. They also announced last year that they would move from ownership of its own site, eBay Eachnet which was a joint venture with Tom Online Inc.
