After Chevrolet, Cadillac and Hummer might be coming to India
GM has already withdrawn their Open brand from the Indian market. Opel branded cars have been replaced by a Chevrolet branded lineup which has been performing well for the company here in India.
The latest market reports state that the company is now considering launching its niche brands such as the Hummer and Cadillac in the near future.
This could be part of the GM’s plan to capture 10% of the Indian automotive market by the end of the current decade.
GM recently launched the most crucial project in their lineup… The Chevrolet Spark.
GM India president and managing director, Mr Rajeev Chaba said in a statement: “It will be a business call but the way it is going we may consider launching the top-end models sometime soon.”
Indian market is maturing and consumers are demanding the best of the best products. Everything from Porsche to BMW to Audi is now available in the market.
GM would do good if they can launch some luxury vehicles in the Indian market.
