Ford expecting to post improved sales in May
US based automaker Ford has said that they are expected to post improved sales figures for the month of May.
This would be the first time in the last six months if the company manages to accomplish this feat. However, Ford added in its statement that their overall sales were expected to decline.
Ford chief sales analyst George Pipas stated their expectations in a company statement saying: “We will be reporting an increase in retail sales this month.”
However, their decision to reduce the sales to daily-rental companies is likely to hurt the overall figures and Ford is still likely to post a “single-digit” percentage decline.
Pipas added: “My expectation at this point is total sales, including a 20 percent reduction in daily rental, would result in a decline.”
