TVS aiming to capture 30 per cent market share with TVS Apache
TVS Motors has made big news with their latest release in TVS Apache. This trendy 150-cc five-speed “Apache” has finally been launched in the country and the company has said in a statement that with this new motorcycle launch, they are aiming to capture a 30 per cent market share of this premier segment.
Prasad Narasimhan, vice-president, Marketing, TVS Motors said in a statement while launching the bike in media presence: “We are eyeing a 30 per cent market share of this premier segment and looking at rolling out two lakh numbers of this sporty bike in a year.”
He added that the market for such performance-oriented bikes is around 50,000 units per month in India. The TVS Apache is powered by a 13.5 brake horsepower (BHP) engine with the highest power to weight ratio in its segment. TVS also claimed that Apache would be the fastest in 150-cc category.
TVS has equipped this bike with an Inductive Digital Ignition (IDI) engine technology, which would provide the rider with an excellent engine response, consistent fuel economy, and excellent cold stability.
TVS Apache would be available in as many as four colors and would come equipped with Alloy Wheels as a standard feature. The bike is being priced between Rs 48,000 and Rs 52,490 in Bangalore.

TVS has just did it. Apache is stylish and good in performacne too. 30% share in premium segment is reasonable. Bajaj, Hero Honda and others have to think about a new model to take on the competition.
