General Motors India sold 5,432 units in May this year

General Motors just recently launched their Chevrolet Spark model in the Indian market and the results have already started to show.

The company managed to improve their sales by 66 per cent in May by selling around 5,432 units. This is an impressive improvement from sales of 3,476 units in the corresponding month of the previous year

The sales figures included around 2,000 units of hatchback Chevrolet Spark, 1,807 units of multi utility vehicle Chevrolet Tavera, 1,413 units of Chevrolet Aveo/ Aveo U-VA and 212 units of sedan Chevrolet Optra.

GM India Vice President Marketing Ankush Arora spoke on this improved performance: “The recently launched Chevrolet Spark is making serious inroads into the small car segment and we are very pleased with the positive response we have received from our customers.”

GM India is also now due to launch their latest model which would be a diesel variant of its premium sedan Chevrolet Optra.
