Cisco expected to acquire companies in India

Cisco is likely to make some significant investments in India as they plan to acquire some companies.

CFO & Senior VP of Cisco Dennis Powell said in a statement while on a trip to the country: “There is a very strong possibility that we might acquire companies in India in the area of emerging technologies.”

Cisco has been quite successful with the acquisitions they have made. Powell claimed that as many as 75% of their entire acquisitions were successful.

Some of their acquired companies had presence in the Indian market though Cisco has never acquired an Indian company.

The company is also planning to start development of new products in India which would later be exported to developed nations. Cisco has around 2200 people working for them in their Indian centers.
