Mahindra Scorpio to be launched in UK and USA

Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has said in a statement that they are going to launch their SUV Scorpio in the US and UK market.

The company aims to sell more than 10,000 of its Scorpio sport utility vehicles in the US by the end of the decade.

Mahindra Scorpio would be launched in the UK market later this year. Scorpio would be launched in the USA in 2009.

The company is also launching sales of pick-up trucks to Australia this week and would also begin assembling SUVs from kits in Brazil later this year.

They have already been exporting their products to international markets like South Africa, Italy, France and Spain.

They are expecting to see good sales in the US market as they would be offering their products at a considerable discount compared to existing models in the market from GM, Ford, Toyota and Honda.
