Deutsche Telekom acquiring Orange Netherlands
Deutsche Telekom AG has announced that they are acquiring France Telecom SA’s cellphone unit along with the Internet company Orange Netherlands.
The deal would however see them selling their Spanish unit Ya.com to the French company.
Deutsche Telekom added that they would be receiving Euro 320 million for Ya.com. They did not disclose the payments they would be making for acquiring the cellphone division from France Telecom.
Market sources added that the company would be paying around Euro 1.3 billion for Orange Netherlands.
These deals would also require the approval from the regulatory bodies in their respective countries.
