Dell to expand availability of TV sets made by rival companies on their online store
Dell has announced that they would make available a wider variety of television sets made by their rival companies on their online store.
The company however denied that they are considering plans to stop making television sets themselves.
There have been reports in the media claiming that Dell could possibly get out of this market as early as this month.
PC division is more profitable for the company and it is pretty apparently that the company is indeed enhancing their focus on segments which generate the maximum profits for them.
Dell recently announced their plans to get out of the digital media player market as they totally failed to develop a challenger to the Apple iPod range of players.
Dell spokeswoman Rachel Lyon had this to say about their upcoming plans: “We will soon offer a wider assortment of televisions from leading manufacturers that feature the latest technology and meet Dell’s high standards for performance.”
