Aeroflot to buy 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts
Russian airline company Aeroflot has announced that they are buying 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts.
Incidentally, the company added that they would sign a similar deal with Boeing rival Airbus for more aircrafts.
Scott Carson, chief executive of Boeing’s commercial airplane unit spoke about their deal with Aeroflot: “We are very, very pleased that today has arrived. We have been working very hard with Aeroflot for a number of years, helping them identify their requirements.”
Aeroflot CEO Valery Okulov added: “We will sign a firm order for 22 A-350s either at Le Bourget or at MAKS.”
He added that the Airbus crafts are likely to enter their fleet between 2014 and 2017. Their deal with Boeing would be financed with a syndicated loan guaranteed by the U.S. Export-Import bank.
