Apple iPhone to be offered only on exclusive Apple and AT&T Stores
Apple iPhone is coming later this month and the two companies are suggesting that the interested customers make sure that they visit the correct destination in order to get hold of one.
The iPhone would be made available only at the exclusive Apple and AT&T stores. The device would go on sale 6 pm. local time in each U.S. Market.
AT&T spokesman Fletcher Cook said that this limited availability at launch time would last only for the initial days.
They would sell the iPhone afterwards on the Internet and through other outlets.
The company already owns around 1,800 retail stores which have been rebranded from Cingular which they acquired.
There are many other stores which offer AT&T products and services but these are not exclusive to AT&T.
The Apple iPhone itself would be sold for USD 499 and USD 599. The contract package fees are not revealed yet.
