LG Electronics is the global leaders in Television sales

South Korea based LG Electronics has finally overtaken all their competitors to become the global leaders in the television market. The company has established itself as the market leaders with its solid product range in thin-screen TVs. They overtook China’s TCL Multimedia as the world’s top TV seller in last year’s fourth quarter as per incoming statistics reports.

The company sold as many as 5.7 million TVs in the quarter through December. This also took them ahead of their domestic rivals Samsung Electronics apart from the existing market leaders TCL. These figures were revealed by the market research company iSuppli Corp.

LG’s global market share for this quarter stood at an impressive 11% compared to 9% before. Samsung improved their performance in the market for liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma TVs with a market share of 10.3 percent compared to 9.4 percent in the previous quarter.

TCL was the major loser in the quarter with its market share dropping from 10.1 percent to 9.7 percent.
