Saudi Telecom acquiring a 25% stake in Maxis
Saudi Telecom is said to be acquiring around a quarter stake in the Malaysia’s biggest mobile operator Maxis.
The deal is said to be worth around USD 3 billion and it would represent one of the biggest investment of its kind in this south-east Asian country.
Market reports added that this deal would help the financial position of the Maxis’ main shareholder Ananda Krishnan.
He would would be better equipped to expand the company’s presence in India and the Middle East.
Saudi Telecom would be making this significant investment in Maxis through Binariang.
