Digital Access digital distribution platform launched in Russia
Warner Music and Sony BMG have announced that they are working with Russian industrial group, Access Industries and music labels Soyuz and Nikitin Records to launch a new business called Digital Access.
Digital Access is essentially a wholesale digital distribution platform and it has been launched in the Russian market which is dominated by pirated media.
This new platform would now work on distribution of music, full-track audio downloads, ring tones, video clips and color images into both Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Warner Music International Chairman and Chief Executive Patrick Vien spoke on this new initiative: “This is a strategic investment that we believe will play a pivotal role in unlocking the potential of the dynamic Russian music market.”
Digital Access added that they are also working hard on collecting material from other content providers.
