Northwest Airlines to cut number of flights
Northwest Airlines has said in a statement that they now plan to cut flights. The company is also considering hiring more pilots to help ease crew shortages.
The company is facing forced cancellations of 12 percent of its schedule this week due to a serious shortage of crew.
The airline company added that they expect the operations to smoothen up by the weekend.
Northwest Airlines has officially cited bad weather, air-traffic-control congestion and shortage of crew for the hundreds of canceled flights in the past week.
The company added that they will cut its domestic flight schedule by 90 hours a day in August.
