Bajaj Auto continues to report falling sales

Bajaj Auto is one of the leading bike manufacturers in the Indian market. However, recent months have been bad for the company as they have been posting falling sales figures.

June was no different for the company as they reported a 12% dip in motorcycle sales (including exports).

Bajaj reported sales of 1,62,253 units as against 1,83,549 units in June 2006.

The company however gained in the export segment as the sales were up 42% to 48,675 units.

Bajaj Auto further reported that their net two and three-wheeler sales dipped 12% to 1,87,624 units.

The company is scheduled to launch their brand new bike platform later this year which would focus on shifting 100cc customers to a higher powered bike.

Bajaj is aiming to focus on the 125cc segment as they want the buyers considering buying a 100cc bike to rather go for their 125cc bikes.
