Dell to start selling their products at Asian retail chains

Dell has already started selling their products through retailing stores in the US market. They are now offering computers at Wal-Mart and other stores throughout the nation.

The company has now said that they are now planning to start selling its laptops and desktops at Asian retail chains and stores.

Paul-Henri Ferrand, who heads Dell’s operations in the Asia Pacific said in a statement: “Asia is a diverse region so the indirect (retail) approach in the region will come sooner in some countries and later in others. What we want to make sure is that we customize our approach by country and target via these (retail) channels the customers that we want to go after.”

He added that Asia’s revenue contribution to the company was at around 13 percent and it is growing at a healthy pace.

He further said: “Our business is growing even faster in some of the emerging markets like Pakistan, Philippines and Indonesia.”

It would be nice to see Dell’s hardware being sold in retail stores in India.
