Aviation Lease & Finance Co. places order for 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliners
Boeing Co. has announced that they have received an order for 10 additional 787 Dreamliners from Kuwait-based Aviation Lease & Finance Co.
This new order is worth around $1.6 billion at the market prices of the planes.
Alafco had already placed an order for 12 Dreamliners in March this year. They were the first Middle East customer to order the Dreamliner from Boeing which is the world’s second- biggest commercial plane maker.
With this fresh order Boeing now has 652 orders for the 787. The plane is scheduled to get into commercial service sometime next year.
The two companies added that the planes would be powered by General Electric Co.’s GEnx engine. The deliveries of these planes would begin in 2015.
