Air India to launch a new Delhi-Washington flight
Indian airline company Air India has announced that they would soon launch new flights between India and the US market.
Air India now aims to connect more Indian and American cities. This would include a new flight between New Delhi and Washington.
Air India Chairman and Managing Director V Thulasidas said in a statement on their plans: “Washington, I admit, is an important route and we plan to put a flight there, may not be a non-stop flight. It could be a one-stop flight because of the traffic.”
He added that the new air planes would help it increase long-haul flights between the two countries such as from New York to Mumbai and New Delhi.
Thulasidas further said: “So what you are looking at is a 787 (Dreamliner) flying between Delhi and Washington possibly via Paris.”
