Tata Motors could be interested in Ford’s Jaguar and Land Rover marques
Ford is working on plans to sell of their Jaguar and Land Rover marques and now Indian automotive firm Tata Motors is said to be interested in bidding for it.
Market sources suggest that Tata Motors has recently instructed advisers to begin evaluating the merits of a joint offer for Jaguar and Land Rover.
The deal could be worth around $1.5 billion and would be one of the biggest by an Indian company.
However, other market sources have said that the Tata Motors’ evaluation of a bid was at an “exploratory” stage and they might not even bid for the two companies.
The two companies have not commented on these reports in the media.
