Vodafone still interested in holding Verizon Wireless stake
Arun Sarin, chief executive of Vodafone has said in a statement that they are still interested in holding the Verizon Wireless stake.
They are currently looking at ways to ways to maximize value from its stake in the company.
Incidentally, the company is facing critical resolutions from their shareholders at its annual meeting next week.
Efficient Capital Structures is one of the investors in the company which has been asking the company to get out of Verizon.
Sarin however said that the value of the Verizon Wireless stake had “gone up $10 billion to $15 billion in the last year alone”.
Andy Halford, Vodafone’s finance director added in a statement that Verizon does have a high level of debt but this was reducing rapidly.
