Intuit to expand in international markets including India

Intuit has announced that they are now planning to expand their presence in international markets including India, China, Russia, and Brazil.

The company currently generates most of their revenues from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

Nilesh Thakker, Intuit’s director of product development, and country manager for India said in a statement that there is huge opportunity for them in the markets around these nations.

They are already working on a prototype of a point-of-sale software for the Indian market.

Thakker added about their plans for the Indian market: “We are still at an early stage, and whether we will launch a product will depend on customers’ feedback on the prototypes.”

They are also considering offering hosted versions of its products in India in addition to providing online banking services for banks.
