UTI Bank is now officially Axis Bank
We were in the market when we saw the board at one of the banks in the market named Axis Bank.
On close scrutiny we noticed that it was the UTI Bank that has now changed its name to Axis Bank.
The company has now issued a fresh certificate of incorporation to the bank in the name of `Axis Bank Ltd’.
This means that the bank is now officially known as Axis bank. The bank said in a statement that the change of name to Axis Bank is effective 30 July, this year.
The bank said that the change in name was necessary as several unrelated entities were using the UTI brand.
They are now scheduled to launch a nationwide advertisement campaign with a catch line, ‘Twins both equal’ starting tomorrow.
