CA files a lawsuit against Rocket Software
Software company CA has announced that they have now filed a $200 million copyright lawsuit against rival developer Rocket Software.
CA is claiming that Rocket Software hired their developers and also stole source code belonging to them.
They have amended an existing lawsuit that was filed in April this year. The original lawsuit had accused the rival software company of misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition and behavior.
The updated lawsuit includes the copyright violation complaint and the $200 million claim.
CA claims in the updated lawsuit that Rocket Software “knowingly and intentionally stole from CA the source code and development environment”.
Gary Brown, CA’s director of litigation said in a statement on this amended lawsuit: “They basically replicated our development environment.”
