The cruise control caused a 'sudden involuntary acceleration' when I applied the brake thus causing me to ram into my neighbor's garage door causing $$$ of damage and my car being totaled. My mechanic said the tire marks on the garage indicated that the clutch never closed. The first thing he did was 'disable the cruise control'.
