aQuantive shareholders approve Microsoft acquisition

aQuantive Inc. has revealed that their shareholders have now approved the buyout offer from Microsoft Corp.

The decision was taken on Thursday at a meeting in downtown Seattle.

The company said that as many as 58 million shares were voted to approve the deal.

Microsoft has announced their plans to acquire the company for a mega price of $6 billion which comes to around $66.50 per share for the company.

The buyout would include the Avenue A/Razorfish ad agency and the network which allows publishers and marketers to buy and sell online advertising.

This new development clears one of the major hurdles for Microsoft to complete the acquisition.
