Reliance Retail to open 500 RelianceMart in India by 2010
Reliance Retail has opened their first RelianceMart in Ahmedabad. The company has further announced that they are going to open up around 500 hypermarket stores by the end of 2010.
They are going to face challenge from several local and international retailing giants. Bharti has collaborated with Wal-Mart and several local companies are also opening up retail marts in India.
The company is spending as much as $6 billion to set up hypermarkets and smaller convenience stores in the domestic market.
Reliance Retail has further set themselves the target of sales of 1 trillion rupees by 2011 through the nationwide store chain. The other aim is to have 100 million square feet of retail space by 2011.

my name is deepak i live in sikka i want joined with reliance mart i have idea to devloped mart business there r somany ship alongside in sikka vadinar jetty in ship lot of fowrener crew ship is standby in sikka jetty 3 or 4 day crew visit at sikka and jamnagar market if we arrange 2 visit our mart for shoping his good for shipcrew and our mart business
