Revver Taps Marc Hernandez as Vice President of Advertising Sales
Revver, Inc. (www.revver.com), the first marketplace for online videos, today announced it has hired Marc Hernandez as vice president of advertising sales. Hernandez currently manages the company’s advertising sales operations, and is also leading the development of new, customized sponsorship packages to align brands with content. He reports to Kevin Wells, CEO of Revver.
Since his appointment last month, Hernandez has been instrumental in the successful launch of Revver’s new Cost Per Thousand (CPM) ad products, which include pre- and post-roll video ads. The CPM ads offer advertising partners greater flexibility and content owners the potential to earn more revenue. Hernandez has secured Proctor and Gamble and ABC as advertisers for the new offering, and content creators utilizing them have experienced significant increases in revenue.
“Marc has a great track record of driving revenue at e-commerce and new media companies, and he’s already proven he can do the same at Revver,” said Kevin Wells, CEO of Revver. “Together, we’ll ensure that Revver continues to offer all its stake holders mutually beneficial advertising solutions that really work.”
Hernandez joined Revver from Tribal Fusion, one of the largest online advertising networks, where he led its Entertainment Vertical division. Previously, he built and managed a successful sales team as director of sales for the western region at Eyeblaster, a leader in providing rich media ad technology and unified digital marketing solutions. Hernandez also brings experience in talent and literary management to Revver, as a former vice president of development at ShowBIZ Data, managing partner and literary manager at Crescendo Entertainment Group, literary manager at Zide/Perry Entertainment, and as a key player in United Talent Agency’s literary department.
Hernandez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
