Nissan to make small trucks in India

Japan’s Nissan Motor has announced that they are collaborating with Indian truck and bus maker Ashok Leyland Ltd..

The two companies would now jointly manufacture small trucks and other light commercial vehicles for sale in the Indian market.

Nissan and Ashok Leyland have signed three joint venture agreements. And these ventures would also support the Japanese company’s worldwide sales through exports from here.

This new deal shows how much interested Nissan is in the Indian automotive market which is growing at an impressive pace.

They are already working on a passenger car venture and Renault and Mahindra & Mahindra group for the Indian market.
