NTT DoCoMo and ACCA Networks to launch mobile WiMax services
Dominating mobile service provider NTT DoCoMo has announced that they would be working with broadband provider ACCA Networks to launch ultra-fast mobile WiMax services.
The company had to enter this tie up considering the government decided to award the rights directly to operators of third-generation mobile services.
The aim of the government was to attract more companies in this market.
WiMax technology offer broadband speeds of more than 10 times as fast as 3G and 3.5G services provided by NTT DoCoMo in the market currently.
The two companies said in a statement: “ACCA Networks agreed to the partnership based on DoCoMo’s extensive experience and know-how in mobile technologies.”
