Oracle acquiring Irish software company Netsure

Software industry giant Oracle has announced their latest acquisition deal. The company is now acquiring West-Dublin-based Netsure which would now become a part of their Communications Global Business Unit.

Netsure specializes in delivering communications-specific applications to service providers worldwide.

The two companies have not disclosed the financial aspects of this deal. Some of the major clients of Netsure include Vodafone, Cable & Wireless and Eircom.

Netsure’s chief executive Barry Murphy said in a statement on this deal: “The combination of Netsure’s applications, coupled with Oracle’s leading communications portfolio is expected to provide unmatched and differentiated value to service providers worldwide.”

Oracle Senior Vice President and General Manager, Bhaskar Gorti added: “In conjunction with Oracle’s ERP, supply chain, inventory management and network discovery solutions, Oracle plans to provide service providers the ability to improve their network ROI and increase their operational efficiency as they launch, deploy and profit from next-generation IP services.”
