Vijay Mallya considering buying a stake in Epic Aircraft
Market sources have stated that the Indian liquor industry giant Vijay Mallya is considering purchasing a stake in the US airline company Epic Aircraft.
The deal could be worth around USD 200 million. The Mint Business Newspaper quoted Mallya as saying: “I am in talks with Epic promoter”.
Epic specializes in manufacturing private jet planes. Market sources now believe that a statement can be issued by the two parties by the end of the month.
Mallya already has Kingfisher Airlines in the Indian market. His UB Holdings also owns 26 percent in Deccan Aviation Ltd.
He also just recently announced his decision to acquire Spyker Formula-1 team. Things sure are interesting when Mr. Mallya is around!
