Ford offering a USD 1000 discount on several models
USD based automaker Ford is struggling to compete against Toyota in their domestic market.
The company has now announced that they are offering rebates of up to $1,000 on most 2007 and 2008 model year vehicles in the United States.
This offer is applicable for the month of September only and they are hoping to boost the sales in the US market with this scheme.
The company suffered massively in the month of August as their U.S. sales slipped 14 percent. The sales are down 12.5 percent so far this year.
Ford is also offering interest-free financing on its F-150 pickup truck which is in addition to the USD 1000 discount.
Toyota has been selling more vehicles than Ford in the US market and this has become a challenge for them.
