Executive Director of Bajaj Auto Limited, Sanjiv Bajaj said in a statement on the recent developments: “We have talked to a few players over the last couple of years. We know it is important to find a good local partner in China, one who can think long-term and as the same way as us. We are looking to build a high-quality business in China. We have not yet found someone. We will enter China at the right time when we find a right partner.”
Bajaj has also being engaged in legal fights with some Chinese companies which imitated its Indian products and launched them in the Chinese market.
Bajaj had this to say on this issue: “On the other hand, some Chinese companies have copied some of our motorcycles infringing our design rights in Sri Lanka.”
