HDFC now offering Visa Signature Card
HDFC bank has announced that they are now offering Visa Signature Card to their customers in the Indian market.
This is the first ‘super premium’ credit card being offered by HDFC in the market. This card would feature credit limit of Rs. 3 lakh and upwards.
Pralay Mondal, Country Head, Retail Assets and Credit Cards, HDFC said in a statement on these cards: “We see the numbers of Indian millionaires increasing; they were looking for something beyond the ‘gold’ or ‘platinum cards’ to match their lifestyles and frequent travels overseas. We now have 3.5 million card holders of all categories and expect close to one per cent to opt for the Signature Card over the next few months.”
Shantanu Mukherjee, Country Manager, South Asia of Visa International added on this new development: “We chose Bangalore as the obvious launch pad for this card because this city has the largest concentration of our target group, top corporate executives who look for value additions like access to the top golf clubs in the country that these cards offer”.
He further claimed that the company has over 58 million Visa card users in India.
