Sony BMG in deal with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide
Sony BMG has announced that they have signed a deal with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
The music company would now be producing uniquely branded music and entertainment programming under the Starwood banner.
As part of this deal, Sony BMG would be working with the company to create in-house song playlists, digital music stores, in-room TV offerings, customized compilation albums, live entertainment experiences and more.
These would then be provided in the Starwood properties including Sheraton, W Hotels, Westin, Four Points, Le Meridien, St. Regis and Luxury Collection.
Rod Mano, senior director of entertainment strategy for Starwood added in a statement: “The appealing thing for Sony BMG is that we can help expose our guests to their different artists. People can be in a hotel for several days at a time, so they have more time to explore new music.”
