AirCell to provide on-flight internet access on Virgin America
Virgin America and AirCell have announced that they would now work together to provide Wi-Fi broadband Internet services to travelers on board.
These services would be made available on Virgin America’s flights in the continental U.S. In 2008.
AirCell said that this service would allow the travelers to surf the Internet and check e-mail during flights.
The airline company is already providing services enabling the passengers to text message and download music during flights.
AirCell also recently announced a similar service for American Airlines flights.
Charles Ogilvie, Virgin America’s director of In-flight Entertainment & Partnerships said on this deal: “Our goal with broadband is simple: let guests decide how and when they want to communicate and interact by providing relevant options.”
